Is the iPhone 3Gs Overheating Really a Problem

New Apple iPhone 3Gs owners have been complaining that the phones are over heating. Other owners say that the white backs are becoming discolored when the heat off the units are transferring the color from the cases. Apple says this isn't a problem. So is it a problem or not?
I am not going to comment on the color transfer. It is a pain but a little alcohol can clean it. What I am concerned with is the overheating issue. For Apple to say this isn't a problem or to down play the issue is way off base. Anyone who has had a laptop or PC over-heat knows what happens. If the iPhone continues to over heat eventually it will stop working. People are signing 2 year contracts on a smartphone that probably will burnout in 6 months. If Apple is smart they will admit there is a problem and fix it now before it costs them even more money.
If you have a new iPhone make sure you are syncing regularly. If the phone dies you will lose everything.
If you have an iPhone that is over heating, I want to here from you. Is this really an issue or is it hype?

Man Dies While Giving PowerPoint Presntation

Have you ever felt like this? You stand up in front of a group of strangers ready to give your presentation and the projector goes black or the laptop crashes. You don't know what to do. You tap the keys. You push the power button. Nothing! Oh God what do I do? The panic starts. You loosen you tie. The CEO starts tapping his fingers. The presentation is over and you never said a word. You lost the deal. Don't let this happen to you. Delivering a great Powerpoint presentation is about the presenter not the equipment. If you are prepared to discuss your topic then you don't need the PowerPoint. The only purpose PowerPoint should serve is to support your topic. Keep the slides simple and easy to read. Have handhouts ready for the end of the presentation to remind your audience what you discussed. These can also be used if your equipment fails.Write your presentation first; word for word and then rehearse your presentation. As you rehearse your presentation make changes and rehearse it again. Gather your coworkers, family, and friends and deliver the presentation to them. Once you feel you know the presentation like the back of your hand, then you can create your PowerPoint and handdouts.I am a firm believer in Guy Kawasaki's 10/20/30 Rule for PowerPoint. Guy says that you should have no more than 10 slides, a 20 minute presentation, and only use 30 point font. In other words even if you are given a full hour, plan your presentation for 20 minutes. This way if you have a equipment failures you have time to deal with them. It also give you time to have a longer question and answer period. You only use 10 slides in that time period because they are only supposed to support your subject not be your subject. Use 30 point font becasue you want the slides to support what you are saying. You do not want your audience reading ahead of you and so focused on the slides they miss key points you are trying to make. I would like to add one point to the 20 minute rule. As I said before, if you equipment fails, you should be ready to go on without it. So don't waste your audiences time trying to recover. Turn around; face the audience; smile; and begin your presentation.If you add these rules to your presentation you will not die from giving a PowerPoint presentation.

What Would Happen to AT&T If Verizon Gets the iPhone

That's right. I believe there would be a mass Exodus. We are currently running a poll on Linkedin, Facebook, and MySpace, as well as this blog and so far people would drop AT&T like a hot potato. What does this say about AT&T? In my fol ow up with some of the polled, I have found that the poor service area is the #1 reason. Second was customer service and third was lack of knowledge. So the only advantage AT&T has is its exclusivity and they are going to lose that soon. So what does this mean for AT&T?
AT&T needs to make some serious changes quickly. It is not like they can add more towers over night so let's focus on what they can do. First, deliver better customer service. Better CS means taking the time to listen and understand the customer problems and complaints and then trying to find a solution that will make THEM happy. This isn't about you and what you think they are doing wrong; this is about what they feel and how YOU are going to fix it. If you lose a few dollars to make an iPhone customer happy they will evangelize your service. Thanks to Guy Kawasaki that is what Apple customers do really well.
Second, to quote Crosby, Stills, and Nash, "Teach Your Children Well". The first wave of iPhone users were Apple customers and they know their stuff. If you don't, shut your mouth or ask them questions. There is no better feeling for an Apple addict them to have someone ask them questions about the latest Apple products. They probably know it better than you anyway. Provide great training to the sales staff and tech support people. Apple has a team just to do this so use them. Make sure that all the AT&T sales staff have an iPhone and carry it with them everywhere. Forbid them from carrying any other phone for 2 weeks. This way they get to know the device. They spend all day at work with them and all night with them. Offer them to the sales staff and 1/4 of the price so they buy them and give them to friends. HAVE THEM TATTOOED TO THEIR HANDS! Sorry about that I got carried away. The only way the sales staff and tech support are going to be able to sell and support the iPhones the way Apple customer want, need, and deserve, is if they are Apple customers themselves.
Finally, don't let it die. I don't remember the last time I saw AT&T run an iPhone ad. Apple has done a great job though. AT&T needs to get out there and talk about the iPhone and tell people how to get a new one. They need to find the customers that aren't happy and make them happy. They need to "Go to the mattresses". Every start up knows what happens when you rely on that elephant to keep your company going. When it dies so do you. HEY AT&T! Feed the elephant it looks sick!
Based on the feed back I have received so far, I am not sure any of this will help AT&T but at least it is a start. If you have ideas or comments, I would like to hear them.

Is Palm Getting in the Way of Palm

I have said this over and over again; Palm is hurting Palm. I don't think Ed Colligan and the executive team at Palm actually understand their own market. I recently read proof of this on the Business Insider http://www.businessinsider.com/2009/1/palm-pre-looks-good. It seems that when Ed was asked about pricing on the new Palm Pre he seems to feel they are better than all the rest. Hey Ed, that time has come and gone. You lost that 5 years ago. The market is tight now. If you want to succeed in the smartphone business you have to be able to adjust quickly and meet the demands of the people. Not what YOU think the people want. Apple proved this with the iPhone.
Apple is talking about lowering the price of the iPhone and Palm wants to raise the price of the Pre! What the heck? We are in a recession and Palm ranks as an "other" in hardware sales for Gartner. They don't even own enough market share to get listed. The Palm OS is at 1.2% market share DOWN 27%. Does this seem the time for inflated egos?
The Palm Pre is a great design and has some really cool features. It actually has the chance to rebuild Palm but Palm has to get a better grip on its own market. They need to learn who is buying smartphones. They have spent so much time listening to IT professionals they haven't heard their customers; the people who actually buy these things. Palm needs to look at Apple and Blackberry and learn from what they have done right. Find out why people buy those devices over their own.
Maybe Ed Colligan needs to remember the phone test that Palm used when they first started or maybe they need to start looking at compatibility. People want streaming video, music, TV, and oh yeah maybe calendar, contacts, and tasks. The Pre has this yes, but if you price it out of the market they will not buy it. And let's face it Palm doesn't exactly build excitement. A poll of our clients revealed that 1 of 8 knew about the Palm Pre; of those 98% thought that it was a Windows device. Way to get the word out Palm.
Once Palm figures all this out they have to get the sales people that are supposed to be selling their phones, to actually TRY to sell them but that is for the next post.

A Sad Goodbye

I would like to briefly state how much I will miss Tim Russert. My heart goes out to his wife and family. I have enjoyed watching Tim over the years. He brought dignity, intelligence, and compassion to his profession.

Dataviz Update

If you read the comments posted on the Dataviz posts you will find a great idea from Josh. This reminded me that I need to update my comments. Dataviz has released an Update for Beyond Contatcts which fixed the issues with Vista. My Beyond Contacts is working great now. However I had to pay for it in the form of a "Maintainence program". It is only 2.99 but it seems a little trivial that they charged me for their problem. However I did not hesitate to pay the fee to get my Beyond Contacts back.
If you do not want to pay the fee, read Josh's comments on the Dataviz Post. It is a great solution. also Josh's solution works with most other software issues on Vista.
Good luck and let me know your thoughts on this issue or any other issues you havefor Mobility.

I recommend Key Suite by Chapura

Unfortunately, I have to recommend Chapura's Key Suite for those Palm users that are looking for a great Outlook interface. Don't get me wrong this is a great program, I am just disappointed that Dataviz has yet again chosen to not stay up on the changes. Dataviz says they have to wait until Palm releases there new Palm desktop from Beta. Well no one else has had to do this and yet again it has left Dataviz in the dust.
If you are using a Windows Vista PC or laptop and you want a a good interface for Outlook check out Key Suites. This software will allow you sync almost all you info from Outlook onto your Palm. It does a great job of making your Palm work and act like Microsoft Outlook.
Dataviz has a better interface but it still isn't compatible with Vista.
Let me know what your thoughts are.
Do you feel companies should stay up on what the technology is doing? Do you think Dataviz can afford to make these choices?

What's Happening with Dataviz

I have been using Beyond contacts for a few years. I have found it to be a better program than Chapura's Key Suite or any other program. I have started to communicate with Dataviz regarding Beyond Contacts not working with Vista. Vista has been out for a year and all of the competing products for Beyond Contacts now work with Vista but BC still doesn't. I am hopeful that this will get corrected soon. Here is the opening dialogue with Dataviz. I will continue to post and update the responses.
If you have a suggestion please let me know.

Vista Support - I have been using Beyond Contacts for a few years. I have switched to Windows Vista which has been out for a year. Unfortunately, Beyond Contacts still doesn't work with Vista. Will there be an update for this program anytime soon. I know that Chapura's programs are currently working with Vista and although that is an option I still prefer your program. Please let me know if you have a time line available for the updates. If not I will look into the other products available.Thank you for your time.

David,To clarify my earlier reply, those who come to our website directly for the update who do not have a maintenance plan will not be able to download it. However, customers are notified via email (as you mentioned) that updates are available; if you go to the download via this email, it should allow a free one-time download regardless of maintenance status (this should be the case for any update to our software). I apologize for the confusion, and if this did not work properly for you.In any case, I understand your position here, and will certainly go ahead and restore the lost downloads to your maintenance plan. David,One of the reasons download maintenance exists is so that you can have access to updates. So yes, normally updates will come out of your alotted downloads.However, in some cases we will make exceptions and allow all customers to download a particular update for free. An example of this is our upcoming update (10.002) for Documents To Go for Palm. This update, which will include the ability to view/edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 files, will be available to download WITHOUT using up download maintenance downloads (and without even having a download maintenance plan on your account).If there are no other questions regarding this, please close out the case at this time.Regards,JamesDataViz Technical Support

DataViz Mail Version: Email Client: Email Server: Problem Description: I have purchased the maintenance program. I received an email stating that I needed to update my software from 10.0 to 10.0001 but when I did you took a download away from my maintainence program. I assume that any updates to the software would be at your cost, not mine. My understanding is that this is not a full version update. Would you please reinstate my downloads if this is the case. Verizon Treo Update

The Verizon Treo update has been released but I am not including the link. I am not sure the release is ready and I would caution anyone who is thinking about installing this. The update requires you to have 20-24 megs of available free space so I performed a hotsync then did a hard reset to set the Treo to factory standards. The instruction said the update would take 45 minutes. Mine took 2 1/2 hours! The update runs pretty much on it's own but you do need to be near the Treo to answer any requests it may have. Palm says you should stay next to the Treo the whole time and that is probably a great idea.
After the update I ran some tests before hotsync my information back onto the phone. The SMS worked great. The web wouldn't connect. I couldn't send emails and I had memory issues.
After a day I hotsynced my user name back and half of my applications didn't come back. I had to reinstall those individually. It has been 4 days and I just got off the phone with Verizon and Palm and now Verizon is sending me a new (refurbished) phone. The tech told me she had already received 4 calls today herself.
I am not what has happened but right now I wouldn't install this unless you have too. If you can wait, I would buy the 755.
For those of you who are using the Windows version and say that never happens to you; you are wrong. We had the same problems and in some cases worse. This is with the last update.

Now What is Palm Thinking

I have seen it all now. Palm seems to be trying to go backwards to before laptops with the introduction of the Foleo. "Foleo Mobile Companion Brings Large Screen and Full-size Keyboard to Smartphones", is the tag line which says to me that the people running Palm wouldn't know it's customers if they fell over them. People buy smartphones and handhelds because they are small, powerful, and we can easily check our email, read and edit documents, and watch video from the "Palm" of our hands. If we wanted a larger screen and WiFi we would use a LAPTOP.
This time Palm has gone over the deep-end. I want to know what you think though.

There is a Difference - Duh!

For some reason my clients have recently been having a lot of trouble syncing their new Treo 700p's and I found out why. The retail wireless people keep selling them 700w's! Not because they want to sell the 700w instead of the 700p, but because THEY DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! This is their job and these people can't tell the difference between a Palm OS smartphone and a Windows Smartphone. So if you are upgrading from a Treo 650 to a 700 (p), make sure YOU know what you need because the clerk may not!

How I use my Treo 700p

It seems every talk I give, whether it is a class, a seminar, or a lecture, at least one person will ask me how I use my Treo 700p. So here is how I use my Treo and the software I use on it.
Because I am an entrepreneur I am out of my office more than I am in it so I try to have as much information with me at all times as I can. The most important information is my calendar, contacts, and tasks and for this I use Dataviz's Beyond Contacts. This program syncs all of the critical information in my Outlook to my Palm as well as the supporting information such as Spouses name, Birthdays, Assistants name, etc. Beyond Contacts is designed to look like my Outlook to so that makes it a lot easier to use.
I wouldn't have a business if I didn't get out and sell so I have some applications that support that as well. I use Smartlist to Go for my client database because it syncs with Access and Outlook and allows me to track my classes, client orders, and catalog. I also use Cyberlings 2Action Meeting to plan and manage all my meetings and Notes Plus to prepare my classes and lectures.
To stay well organized I use Brainforest from Ultrasoft, which is a project manager that allows you to create detailed outlines and flow charts to capture your thoughts and ideas. I also use Idea pad to fill in where Brainforest leaves off. I am current evaluating Project Manager which syncs with Microsoft's Project.
Staying on top of the news is critical for me so I have Handmark Express which gives me the top news stories from the AP. It also gives me the latest business news, weather, and sports scores. I get the rest of my news from the Internet on the Blazer browser.
The last most important programs I have are Documents to Go and Versamail. Versamail lets me send and receive email wherever I am, and Docs to Go let me create, edit, and view my Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents and view PDF files all in the Native file format. This is critical because I now have all my Microsoft Office applications with me.
I am including a screen capture of some of the other applications I have on my Treo. A few other honorable mentions go to Audible which lets me listen to audio books, Graffiti Anywhere which lets me use Graffiti like a regular Palm, and Palm Backup Beta which is a new wireless backup program that Palm is introducing. If you are wireless you need to get this program, it is free.
There is one other feature I use that I need to mention and that is the tethering option from Verizon. This option lets me use my Treo 700p for broadband access on my laptop anywhere Verizon has service. So instead of buying a separate pc card I just plug in my Treo and connect. If you don't have this feature it is only a little more for unlimited data users, I strongly recommend it.

Should I be worried the US government didn't want Blackberry Service stopped

Over the past few months, we have heard all about the Blackberry saga. The big concern was what would happen to our government office if they shut down the service. I have to say that this began to really concern me. I love PDAs! I think they have the capability of making our lives easy and more productive, but our worlds shouldn't come crashing down if they break or the service is interrupted.
That was exactly the message I heard from the Federal agencies that had asked the judge not to go forward with the injunction. They were afraid of how of how they would communicate during federal disasters and emergencies. If that is the case the Blackberry has become a "Crackberry" for our government. As great as these little devices are, they are designed to support us not be responsible for all communications!
I live by my Palm. Last summer when my computer crashed, I ran my company from my LifeDrive. That's right, I actually performed my normal daily tasks from the tiny little computer. However, as wonderful as that is, if I lost my Palm tomorrow or my email system crashed, or even if my cell towers went down, the beauty of the "Age of Information is that we have so many other systems fairly ready to back us up.
Communication is the cornerstone of our society and when disasters such as Katrina happen I always thought that we had redundant back up systems. I know we learned some hard lessons from what happened to Mobile, New Orleans, and the rest of the Gulf Coast. Preparedness is extremely important. As we are dealing with those lessons, I begin to here that the US government is very concerned about the loss of the Blackberry system. Did we not learn anything.
For all of my ranting and raving, I am not sure what the solution is but I do know there are areas we can look at. The first would be from a PDA standpoint, Palm and Pocket PC smartphones are not dependent on any one specific server. Microsoft has several redundant systems in place for major companies all over the world. I bet they have an answer of how the Pocket PC Smartphones can continue to work during a crisis. Because they are not confined to just their email system switching over quickly, I would think would be fast and easy.
Palm also has a great system that works with several different types of servers and email systems. Between these two technologies, I would hope we could survive a crisis.
If all else fails, even I know we have satellite phones. Why can't we use them?
I guess the message I would like to leave everyone with, is that no matter how amazing the handheld technology is, we should never be so attached to any system that may cripple our government. Not to mention any company. Use the technology. Don't be a slave to it. If the government has become that dependent on the Blackberry, I think they may want to rethink their communication systems.

Misconceptions about Microsoft Mobile vs. Palm OS

I have become increasingly concerned over what I consider to be serious misunderstanding from the Tech community requarding the Micorsoft Mobile OS and the "advantages" over the Palm.
I just read a review from CNET where the reviewer descibes the new Treo phone with the Microsoft OS. The problem I am running into is the false understanding that because it is a Microsoft OS then it does all the great things that the full office does and this is not the case.
Although the Windows Mobile does have a version of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, it doesn't even come close to having all the basic features that Office 2000, 2002, or 2003 have.
When you compare the office suite available on most Pocket PC's today against the Documents To Go that comes with Palm, you may find that Dataviz's version offers more. If you upgrade to the Premium version I am confident that you will find the Palm version is better than the Pocket PC.
The Pocket PC's offer a version of Outlook that syncs your basic contact information, tasks, notes, and calendar with your PC. However here again the Pocket PC doesn't deliver what most people want from Outlook. I have two example to demonstrate my opinions.
First, I have a client named Bill. Bill calls me one day and says, "Dave, I need to get more detailed contact information on my Pocket PC but I can't find where to put the information in." I explained to Bill that although it is a Microsoft OS it didn't offer all the features the full version does. Bill's return comment was, "But your Palm has all that information!". I said that it did because I use Beyond Contacts from Dataviz. Bill then asked what he could use to make a better Pocket PC Outlook like I had done with my Palm.
I had to explain that, after days of seacrhing, that without spending thousands of dollars for an enterprise software, there was nothing currently available for the Pocket PC. Bill almost dumped his Pocket PC right then and there!
However he did keep it and today there is a better version of Outlook for the Pocket PC.
I know what you are thinking. "I didn't know Microsoft had made any significant changes to the Windows Mobile OS?"
Well they didn''t!
A company named Chapurra did. This is a company that has been creating Palm apps for years and realized that it was up to them to write a better Pocket PC program.

Second. is the ability to sync with Microsoft Exchange server and more importantly, the ability to use email with iMap and Pop3. Again Microsoft does a good job but not a great job. And again the reviewers say that Palm doesn't have that ability. Well it does and it does it better! It is called Versa Mail.

This all boils down to people not doing their research and putting away their predudice and looking at what Palms can really do. Maybe they should ask some Die-Hard Palm Users what the REAL capabilities are.

I don't care what type of PDA you choose, just do the research and ask questions. Both operating systems are good but don't assume that because the OS's share the same name means that they offer more than the competition.

When she tells about things she would like as gifts or things she enjoys create a new task under her catagory.
When birthdays, Anniversarys, Valentines Day, or the Holidays come around, all you have to do is refer to your task list and you will always know just what to get her.
This will go a long way for your relationship. Just me!

Life Drive Is Here!

I have been using the Life Drive from PalmOne as well as one of my clients and I am some what impressed but not over whelmed. The advantage of all Palm OS handhelds is the usability. There are thousands of software applications and it integrates with Microsoft better than Microsoft's own Pocket PC OS.
The Life Drive has a Four Gig hard drive built in which allows you to carry just about anything you want. It also finally has built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so you can network very easily and get information in more places easily. They have put the Voice Memo back in and have added a button on the side to quickly change the screen layout from Portrait to Landscape and back. The Life drive also sport and power button that double as a screen lock that is much easier to use than anything prior to this. And Finally, the Life Drive is compatible with most of the prior software with some exceptions. (As always)
I am not going to go into all the software, MP3's, videos, and everything the huge hard drive will carry. There are two negative things I would like to bring up if your thinking of upgrading.
The first is the battery life is not as long as I would have liked. Taking into account the bigger hard drive, the built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and some of the other power training features and applications, I would have expected PalmOne to consider this and find an appropriate battery.
This brings me to my next concern and that is the weight. This thing ways a lot more than any other handheld I have used. It may still only way ounces but comparatively it ways a ton compared to the T5. However there is a reason for this. In order to get all the features in that my colleagues have insisted on PalmOne had to bulk up.
So, in conclusion, I like the Life Drive. There are some disappointments PalmOne is ever evolving and this is a learning process for all of us. If you are looking for the total package from PalmOne and are willing to have some weight in order to get all this power, than I strongly recommend the Life Drive. If you are concerned about the weight and the massive hard drive isn't a key point for you, I would recommend the T5. It is much lighter and you can add a Wi-Fi card if you would like Wi-Fi. The T5 still has a respectable 256mb flash drive and you can easily add more with a 1 or 2 Gigabyte SD Card.

An Aside to my colleagues:

There has been a lot of negative things said about the Life Drive and more importantly the T5 and I am tired of it. Everything is not perfect! To quote Rick Broida in his book How to Do everything with Your Palm handheld, Fifth Edition, "For the record, my greatest disappointment of all time is the PalmOne Tungsten T5, which is perfect in every way except one: no Wi-Fi. Why, palmOne. why?"
This kind of thing frustrates me to no end. For the most part people those of us in the industry need to remember that it isn't about us, it is about the average joe who wants key features but still wants something they can carry around easily. The T5 does that. You want Wi-Fi, buy the card, it still ways half the weight of the Life Drive.
The Life Drive is released and we finally get all the features we ask for there something it still doesn't do.
Although I agree personally with some of the criticism regarding PalmOne handhelds our job is to help people get what they need. Show them the features and advantages and disadvantages and the benefits and hope they get what they want. Let's face what we who work in the industry want is a laptop that fits into the shell of a T5. It ain't happening. (Sorry about using "Ain't" Mom)

Never Forget to Return a Phone Call

Keeping track of phone calls you need to return call be handled easily with your Palm handheld.
Create a category in Note Pad called "Phone Calls To Return"
When you listen to your message, create a note in Note Pad of who called and what they called about. (The Title of the note is pre-filled with the date and time.)
Tap on the top right corner of the screen to display a screen to set an alarm for later in the day to remind you to return the call.
After setting the alarm, tap the screen on the Title line to enter a brief title for the message.
It's a great way to keep track of who you've called back and who you haven't, so now there's no reason why you should forget to call anyone back ever again.

Change Icons in the Input Area

When Will ACT! Learn?

I have kept my mouth shut for too long! Best software has one of the best contact mangers on the market today and I would recommend it to anyone; anyone who doesn't use a PDA!
For some reason these people can not seem to get it together when it comes to their ACT! contact manger software and the current trend in PDA.
When ACT! First added PDA's to it programming it was a good thing but then it went bad. They then released ACT! for the Palm OS which should have been a major break-through for them but they screwed it up. They removed all beaming and sending capabilities, it was a grayscale format in a color world, and finally although Palm's and Pocket PC's will handle Thousands of contacts, AfPO only allowed 1000. How do remove three of the greatest features of PDA's. I could except the grayscale format in a color world. I can tolerate(barely) 1000 contacts, but removing the ability to send and receive information from one PDA to another was just plain STUPID!. That is what most PDA users love about these little jewels. We can beam or send information such as contacts from one PDA to the next or in some cases several PDA's at once.
So Best has released ACT! for 2005 and the brilliant minds at this brain trust not only did not put any new features into the Link software, but it no longer works with their own ACT! for Palm OS Software.
So what does all this mean?
If you have been using ACT! Link to synch between your PDA and ACT! you should have very little trouble with the upgrade. You may be disappointed that after almost 10 years of PDA's on the market ACT! still only synch basic information but at least you will have most of the critical information with you. What about the ACT! for Palm OS users?
I hate to say this but I think you will have to either not take the upgrade or bite the bullet and use the ACT! Link software. or...
Do what I did and switch to Outlook and customize it so that it has the information you need. There are several great programs to synch with Outlook. The best one I have found is Beyond Contacts for PalmOne handhelds.(Sorry Pocket PC owners) This little gem allows you to synch all you folders and contact information on your Palm.
Pocket PC users have a built in Outlook, which isn't the greatest but at least it works with their own software!
The moral of the story is that if you own a PDA you shop around for a good Contact Manager. Although some desktop software is very well built and has great features, if it doesn't allow you to have the critical information with you, why bother?
Check the features and benefits of the contact management software you are looking at. If it doesn't synch with your PDA, look for one that does. There are dozens. Here are some I found on Palmgear.com and Pocketpcgear.com.
Agendus for Palm and Windows.
Time and Chaos 6 with synching software
Handbase which is a database program that allows you to use Access on You PDA.
Sales Cycle Manager by Ardexus.
